How it works.
Microneedling uses fine, sterile needles to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. That controlled injury triggers your body's own wound-healing response — new collagen and elastin production that continues for weeks after the appointment.
The micro-channels also temporarily improve how well skin absorbs topical actives, which is why higher tiers layer in a targeted infusion during the same session. Each tier builds on the one before it — more coverage, more depth, or a more advanced infusion, depending on what your skin needs.
Every microneedling treatment at Eternity is performed by a registered nurse, following a skin assessment that confirms depth, tier and any precautions specific to you.

First 24–48 hours
Redness similar to a moderate sunburn is expected and normal. Skin may feel warm and tight.
Days 2–4
Skin may flake or feel dry as it renews. Gentle skincare and SPF are essential; avoid actives until your nurse clears you.
Following weeks
Collagen remodelling continues well after the visible redness settles. Results build with a course of sessions.

How many microneedling sessions will I need?+
For general skin rejuvenation and fine line improvement, 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is a typical starting course. For deeper scarring or more significant texture concerns, 4–6 sessions may be recommended. Results accumulate with each session as new collagen production builds.
What is the downtime after microneedling?+
Standard microneedling involves 24–48 hours of redness, similar in appearance to a moderate sunburn. The skin may feel tight and begin to flake or peel over days 2–4. Most clients are comfortable returning to social settings within 2–3 days, though some redness can persist for 5–7 days after deeper treatments.
What is the difference between standard microneedling and PRP microneedling?+
Standard microneedling uses the micro-channels created by the needles to enhance product penetration and trigger collagen. PRP microneedling adds platelet-rich plasma — a concentration of your own growth factors drawn from a blood sample — into the micro-channels. This significantly amplifies the healing and collagen response, making it particularly effective for scarring, dullness, and accelerated rejuvenation.
Is microneedling painful?+
A topical numbing cream is applied for 30–45 minutes before treatment. With adequate numbing, most clients describe microneedling as a scratching or vibrating sensation rather than pain. More sensitive areas such as the forehead or around the nose may feel more intense.
Can microneedling treat acne scars?+
Yes. Microneedling is one of the most effective non-surgical treatments for atrophic (depressed) acne scarring. The collagen remodelling process gradually fills and smooths depressed scars over time. Multiple sessions are typically required, and combining microneedling with PRP or RF energy accelerates results.
