Our DEKA laser system targets the pigment in each hair follicle, delivering energy that disables the follicle's ability to regrow hair. Because hair grows in cycles, only follicles in their active growth phase respond — which is why a course of sessions, not a single visit, is how lasting reduction is achieved.
DEKA's platform includes wavelength and cooling settings suited to a range of skin tones, assessed against your Fitzpatrick skin type at consultation. A patch test is standard before any new client begins a course.

How many laser hair removal sessions will I need?+
Most clients require 6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart to achieve significant long-lasting reduction. Hair grows in cycles and laser is only effective during the active growth phase. Sessions are spaced to catch each cycle. Annual top-up sessions may be needed for hormonal areas.
Is DEKA laser hair removal suitable for darker skin tones?+
The DEKA laser system at Eternity includes wavelength settings appropriate for a range of skin tones. During your consultation, Monica will assess your Fitzpatrick skin type and select the appropriate parameters to ensure both safety and efficacy. All clients receive a patch test before commencing a treatment course.
Does laser hair removal hurt?+
Most clients describe the sensation as a brief snap or warming feeling as the laser fires. Modern DEKA laser technology includes cooling to protect the skin surface and minimise discomfort. Sensitive areas such as the upper lip or bikini line may feel more intense, but the sensation passes immediately after each pulse.
What areas can be treated with laser hair removal at Eternity?+
We treat virtually any area of the face or body — including upper lip, chin, underarms, full legs, half legs, bikini, Brazilian, arms, back, chest, and abdomen. Custom zones can be discussed at your consultation.
Can I have laser hair removal if I have a tan?+
Active tans significantly increase the risk of adverse reactions including burns and hyperpigmentation. We ask clients to avoid sun exposure and tanning products for at least 4 weeks before laser hair removal. If you arrive with visible tan lines, your appointment may need to be rescheduled for your safety.
