Most massage works muscle. Lymphatic drainage works something shallower and far more delicate: the network of vessels just beneath the skin that carries lymph fluid — the body's waste-clearance and immune-support system. Because those vessels sit so close to the surface, the technique uses light, rhythmic pressure, much lighter than a traditional massage.
What it does
For the face, encouraging lymph flow can visibly reduce puffiness and sharpen contour after a single session — one of the few treatments where the change is often visible on the day, with no redness or recovery. For the body, it's most often booked to support recovery after cosmetic surgery, once your surgeon has given clearance, or simply for general wellness and circulation support.
Who books it
- Facial puffiness or wanting more defined contours
- Post-surgical recovery, with your surgeon's clearance
- General wellness and circulation support
- A gentle, relaxing treatment with no downtime
The session
We start by talking through your goals — wellness, recovery or a specific area — and confirm the right approach; post-surgical clients have their surgeon's clearance confirmed first. Then light, rhythmic strokes guide fluid along the lymphatic pathways. Most clients find it deeply relaxing. Afterwards, we recommend water and gentle movement.
Pricing and rhythm
Sessions are priced per area: full face from $80 (30 minutes), neck and décolleté $130 — a popular pairing with facial treatments — and full legs from $190 (one hour). Arms, abdomen, back, hands and feet are also available on the full menu. For general wellness, monthly sessions are ideal; post-surgical clients follow a schedule set with their clinician, often 2–3 sessions per week in the first weeks, then tapering.
Frequently asked questions
Is lymphatic drainage painful?+
No. The pressure used is very light — much lighter than traditional massage. The technique is rhythmic and gentle. Most clients find it deeply relaxing.
Can I have lymphatic drainage after cosmetic surgery?+
Yes, this is one of the most common reasons clients book. However, we require clearance from your surgeon before commencing post-surgical drainage. Timing depends on your procedure.
Will I see results after one session?+
Yes, particularly with facial lymphatic drainage. Puffiness visibly reduces and facial contours appear more defined after a single treatment. Cumulative results build with regular sessions.
If you're pairing drainage with a facial treatment or building a post-surgical schedule, tell us when you book — we'll sequence it properly.
